Northshore Neighborhood – Bellingham, WA

The Northshore, a very sought after neighborhood to live in, is located along Lake Whatcom’s Northeast shoreline. For the most part, properties are either lakefront or up in Squalicum and Stuart mountains with beautiful views of the lake. Some newer homes built high up even allow homeowners to catch a glimpse of San Juan Islands and Bellingham Bay in the distance.

Most lakefront homes in this neighborhood come with private docks and plenty of access to enjoy all of the typical water sports Washington residents most enjoy – including kayaking, swimming, fishing, etc. In addition is the nearby Northshore trail for when residents want to change it up and spend some time hiking. The trail is a little over 3 miles and is filled with beautiful and scenic spots where you can pause and take it all in. You can park your car in a parking lot near Northshore Drive and make your way south towards Blue Canyon. In fact, most of the trail is hugged between Lake Whatcom and the mountains and follows the railroad grade of the old Blue Canyon mine.
