Cordata Neighborhood Bellingham, WA

Cordata is actually the newest of neighborhoods in Washington’s Bellingham community. It was only established in 2010 when neighborhood boundaries were redrawn to accommodate an increase in the area’s residential development and population.

What’s going on in Cordata neighborhood

With the Cordata neighborhood came the construction of the Cordata Park Meadow. The project gave local residents new nearby trails, park benches, and well-kept greenery to enjoy as an added perk to part of their newly popular community. Cordata is also home to quite a few main attractions including Whatcom Community College, Bellingham Athletic Club, Bellis Fair Shopping Mall, and the Cordata Center. Cordata’s Community Center even draws shoppers from Canada on a daily basis since it’s right off of Route 539 which runs North to South connecting Bellingham to Canada’s Aldergrove community.
There are a lot of new developments in Cordata due to the growing demand for living in this ideal location. In fact, Cordata Elementary School now serves over 350 students from Pre-Kindergarten through the fifth grade.
